Health & Wellness Work Group
The Health & Wellness Work Group (HWG) is a strong circle of African American health practitioners, institutional leaders, and community members at the state, county and local levels, to build a culturally informed framework for community wellbeing. In addition to the Baraza Black Woman’s Conference, referred to above, the HWG is currently engaged in initiatives to conduct a community survey of Culturally Sensitive Trauma Informed Mental Health Care and Menthol Tobacco prevention.
