Jeffrey A. Hassan is a 1973 graduate of Macalester College, St. Paul, Minnesota, where he was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, National Political Science Honor Society.  He graduated from the University Of Minnesota Law School, Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1976.

Mr. Hassan has attained his profession’s highest professional rating as an “A-V” rated attorney from the national legal publication Martindale Hubbell Law Directory.  He has litigated employment discrimination cases involving race, gender and religion on behalf of employers and employees for more then 35 years. He litigated the landmark Minnesota Sexual Discrimination case of State of Minnesota vs. Continental Can, which established employer liability for coworker sexual harrasment. He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers.  He was former president of the Minnesota Minority Lawyers Association and received that organization’s Distinguished Service Award.

In November 2014, became the Executive Director of the African American Leadership Forum, a private non-profit Minnesota corporation, whose mission is to address racial disparities in education, health & wellness, economic development, and community safety.

Mr. Hassan has conducted Unconscious Bias training for lawyers, law enforcement, private corporations, human resource directors, and non-profit organizations.
