Collective Impact Program Coordinator (In partnership with Public Allies Twin Cities)

We are a data-driven, people-empowered movement of over 1,900 African Americans who self-identify as Thought Leaders, Influencers, Builders, and Ambassadors.

Collaboratively, these leaders volunteer their time, talents and treasure to help the African American Leadership Forum (AALF) build a just, healthy society that works better for all of us. AALF is developing innovative programs that connect African American businesses, people, and industries by creating spaces that empower Black the community to share ideas, celebrate and work together to bring about change.

Job Purpose

To ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the AALF Programs, support the work of the development of the AALF Network of Contributors, Building the overall operation and culture of the AALF Team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Program Support 

  • Support program staff in planning and execution of program activities
  • Develop the setup of key event and meeting locations
  • Setup of registration for events
  • Setup of virtual and in person meeting logistics (i.e. Zoom)
  • Support the application process for key programs
  • Support key meetings including – Setup meeting invitations, notes, Follow-up on actions
  • Moderate Zoom meetings/Webinars (i.e. Virtual Townhall) – setting up calls, confirm guest speakers are online, Record, Setup up FB live, convert to YouTube
  • Manage program compliance
  • Collect and input program participant information into data base

Office administration

  • Use computer word processing, spreadsheet, and database software to prepare reports, memos, and documents
  • Sort incoming email, mail, and courier deliveries for distribution
  • Update and ensure the accuracy of the organization’s databases
  • Support Setup and management of Team Activities (Weekly Team Meetings, Team Development)
  • Develop and manage administrative systems (contact systems, guests for shows, distribution lists of programS)

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent
  • Two years Post-secondary education in business, computers, or office management is an asset

This is a 10 month Public Allies Twin Cities commitment: September 2020 – June 2021.

The ideal candidate will attend Public Allies Twin Cities Core Training the week of September 9-11, 2020, and will begin their first day of placement at AALF on September 14, 2020.

Public Allies receive a $1500 monthly stipend, and are provided with health coverage including childcare benefits, if eligible, by Public Allies Twin Cities. Public Allies also receive over 300 hours of rigorous training in nonprofit mechanics and values-based leadership.
