If you haven’t done so already, The African American Leadership Forum (AALF) invites you to join the Forum’s network. You’ll be part of a dynamic group of 1,500+ Black Thought Leaders, Influencers, Builders, and Ambassadors who contribute their time, talents, and treasure to empower the African American community in Minnesota and across the country.

AALF’s network contributors come with a multitude of interests and skillsets; they are leaders, allies, artists, activists and changemakers, and they’re all passionate about improving the lives of African Americans. If you identify with any of the Forum’s leadership personas, now is the time to join the network. We need people like you to help re-shape the narrative around Black lives.

Becoming a network contributor is easy and it’s FREE to join! Just fill out the form and choose how you’d like to use your skillset to impact the Black community. Not only will you have the opportunity to make Minnesota a better place to live for African Americans, you’ll be provided with exclusive information about all AALF programs and convenings, such as our annual gala event, BARAZA, town halls, and forums. You’ll be connected to other African American leaders across the state and be the first to know about resources and tools that can be used to support your own leadership development and community engagement interests.

What to Contribute: Time, Talent, or Treasure

  • Contributing Your Time: Network contributors can volunteer their time by participating in the Forum’s Collective Impact initiatives (our annual Task Force and Work Streams) to help solve some of the complex challenges facing our community and/or support our events and convenings, which bring African Americans together to celebrate our culture and innovate around transforming the Black community.
  • Contributing Your Talent: You can volunteer your talents or utilize your unique expertise to support the Forum by participating in our Collective Impact work, mentoring fellows in the Josie R. Johnson Leadership Academy as a torchbearer or being part of the academy through nomination, and/or support our work in another way that aligns with your passions.
  • Contributing Your Treasure: AALF’s programs, initiatives, convenings and the Forum network are invaluable assets in the Black community, and we need ongoing financial support to continue our work. Treasure contributions are an essential part of ensuring that we have the resources needed to bring about change; this can be through donations, event and program sponsorships, or other means.

AALF thanks you for your interest in bettering the lives of African Americans in our state! We invite you to visit our website to learn more about the Forum. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
