STEAM Forward is a community-driven initiative that seeks to strengthen the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) ecosystem for Black learners (early childhood through K12) in North Minneapolis. Grounded in the African American Leadership Forum’s (The Forum) Black-Centered Design framework and aligned with Northside Forward’s Cradle-to-Career Learning pillar, this report documents the journey that led to the development of the STEAM Forward community-designed concepts, including the community engagement process, key findings and themes, and the funding opportunity created to support the next phase of this work.
