The intention of this snapshot is to serve as a launch into greater awareness, eventually leading to improvements in Public Safety within the Twin Cities.
Using the Black-Centered Design model, it’s a synopsis of what we’ve learned engaging critical voices – including community, nonprofit and local business leaders, surrounding safe communities, police reform and criminal justice system reform.
From these engagements, a small number of stakeholders were invited to continue by sharing more of their experiences which provided a deeper understanding of our Minnesota Black community’s needs. This Public Safety evaluation and our summary brief snapshot highlights some of the initial work in our United by Black Powered By All (UB) undertaking.
